Repair Café Picnic at Lloyd Park
The messiest, mending-est picnic of the summer. Bring broken things, leave with working things, and eat cake in between.
Five hours of fixing, sharing, eating and seed-swapping in the middle of Lloyd Park. Bring the kettle that won't boil, the trousers with a hole in the knee, the bike with a flat tyre — our volunteer fixers will give them a new life.
Repair stations
- Textiles & clothes — darning, patching, zip fixes (11am–4pm)
- Small electronics — kettles, lamps, toys, toasters (12pm–3pm)
- Bikes — puncture repairs and brake adjustments (all day)
- Tools & knives — sharpening service (donations welcome)
Also on the day
- Community picnic — bring a dish to share (please label your allergens)
- Seed swap — bring any seeds, take any seeds
- Children's fixing corner — take apart old electronics safely
